Does the Nintendo DSi and a typical laptop take the same size / kind of SD cars?
I just got a Nintendo DSi and it has a slot for an SD card to hold music and pictures. I need to buy the SD card, though, however, my only way of downloading stuff to it would be through my laptop computer. The length of the slot that is supposedly for an SD card on the laptop looks about the same length as the one on the Nintendo DSi. Do they likely both take the same cards?
Yes. There is three sizes of SD cards.
Micro. Which is the smallest.
Mini which is the size in the middle.
And standard size.
All laptops only have a port for a standard SD card. It will also say "mini" or "micro" on the card if its not the standard size. So any SD card you plug into a laptop will work on a DSi.
