Did anyone anticipate the events of Star Wars Episode III taking place differently?
For example, I always imagined The Emperor and Vader conducting the Jedi purge after Vader had fought Obi Wan and fallen into the pit. I was hoping we'd see and hear more of Vader in his suit.
I mean this is only based on things that I've read in other Star Wars books, like the Essential Characters Guide.
Well, if I do remember, when I first watched Episode III I wasn't exactly expecting something this serious. I knew that pretty soon, all the Jedi would be killed by Darth Vader (and I knew that Anakin would turn into him), but that's actually it. But I wasn't expecting the death of Padme, to tell you that.
Anyway, it would've been nice to hear more of Vader in his new suit in Revenge of the Sith. Instead, they skip a lot of stuff until Episode IV. Maybe we could have seen some of the Sith training that Vader/Anakin had to do. That would have been interesting. And maybe a little more of his feelings for Padme because of her death. Remember, he thinks that he "killed her with his anger" because of Palpatine.
